Making Money On Instagram: Netflix Offers The Chance To Earn $2,000 Per Week

Few manage to turn their Instagram feed into a money-making venture, but this latest recruitment campaign from Netflix NFLX +2.53% offers three finalists the chance to become the company’s official Instagram photographers in a role dubbed, “Grammaster”.

Netflix plans to send each Grammaster on the road for two weeks across the United States, photographing film and television locations with the added possibility of going on set. In return, Netflix will pay $2,000 per week and cover all travel arrangements.

As you might expect, Grammasters will also have to consent to having their likeness and biographical information used for advertising, publicity and ‘other’ purposes and may be called upon to give interviews and make media appearances.

Applying for the job is as simple as following the @Netflix account on Instagram, selecting your three best Instagram shots and adding the hashtag #Grammaster. There can’t be many job applications much easier than that!

On or around October 9^th 2014, Netflix will select ten finalists. About five days later, these ten will then be whittled down to three Grammasters who will be selected after successfully completing an interview process.

At the time of writing, a search for #grammaster on Instagram reveals just over 18,000 entries. With a maximum of three entries per person and three positions available, that puts you in competition with only 2,000 others to become a Grammaster. Those aren’t bad odds for a competition open to the whole of the United States.
